REVIEW: Joy of Matcha + discountcode

Healthier than green tea, coming from an ancient old tradition. Originally introduced by Chinese monks, by now a traditional tea ceremony. I got the chance to review "Joy of Matcha". Keep reading to find out about this ancient tradition:

Joy of Matcha

Their tea is cultivated in small farms, high up in the mountains of Kagoshima in Japan. 4 weeks before harvest, the plantation is covered to boost the chlorofyl production and create that beautiful bright green color. Only the prettiest leaves will be harvested at the first spring harvest. They are pulverised on ancient old grindstones and shipped to our doorsteps.

Did you know one cup of matcha tea equals 10 cups of green tea? Since the leaves are crushed, you drink the entire leaves in powder. This means more minerals, more vitamins and more antioxidants: the ultimate superfood!

Advantages of Matcha

There are lots of advantages but I believe the tree best ones are these:

1. Reinforces the immune system: The antioxidants fight diseases and aggressive substances. You can find antioxidants in fruits and vegetables but according to research, one cup of matcha holds twenty times as much antioxidants as a pomegranate!

2. Helps with weight loss: There are no calories in matcha and it helps you to burn fat. Research proves that if you drink matcha regularly, you can get your metabolism to work FOUR times better than before.

3. Gives you more energy and a better focus: There's less caffeine in matcha than in coffee or black tea but it gives you the natural nutrients to feel focussed and alert.

My favorite Matcha recipe: Mojito!

It doesn't have to be a simple, boring tea. You can make a latte, smoothie, shot or even mojito! This one is refreshing and tastes like mint. The matcha in it gives you an energy boost!

You can find lots of recipes in the recipe book (download it for free on the Joy of Matcha site)!

Ingredients:

  • 60ml ginger ale

  • 5 mint leaves

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1 spoon of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of matcha

  • crushed ice

Put the mint leaves, lime juice, sugar and matcha in a glass. Mix until the sugar is gone. Fill your glass with crushed ice. Finish of with ginger and mint leaves.
